AFFI-CON is the American Frozen Food Institute's flagship annual convention, run as a four-day block of pre-scheduled one-on-one buyer/supplier meetings alongside educational sessions and AFFI's own business and committee meetings. The 2027 edition relocates to the Hyatt Regency Orlando after recent years hosted in San Diego. The 2026 edition drew a record of more than 1,800 attendees from across the frozen food supply chain.
The frozen category depends on unbroken sub-zero distribution, and AFFI-CON is where manufacturers, cold storage operators, refrigerated carriers, and retail/foodservice buyers negotiate commercial terms for the coming year in concentrated tabletop meetings. Education tracks cover food safety, regulatory, and supply chain topics that bear directly on keeping product at temperature from plant to shelf. It is the primary annual deal-making window for the US frozen food trade.
The room is senior commercial and supply chain leadership from frozen food manufacturers, ingredient and packaging suppliers, public refrigerated warehousing firms, and retail/foodservice distributors, skewing toward VP and C-suite roles with buying authority. AFFI's membership spans the full frozen supply chain from manufacturers to suppliers and distributors, and that mix defines the attendee base.
