CPHI & PMEC China is the Chinese edition of Informa's CPHI franchise, co-locating CPHI (APIs, intermediates and fine chemicals), P-MEC (machinery and equipment), ICSE (contract services) and pharmaceutical packaging content under one roof. It is the largest pharma trade show in Asia, historically drawing on the order of 50,000 visitors and 3,000+ exhibitors across the pharmaceutical value chain. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 16-18 June 2027 in Shanghai.
For a cold chain professional the value is upstream sourcing and vendor discovery rather than a dedicated cold chain programme: temperature-sensitive API and biologics manufacturers, insulated and temperature-controlled pharma packaging suppliers, and monitoring/data-logger vendors exhibit here. It is where Chinese and international pharma manufacturers set sourcing and packaging relationships that later drive GDP-compliant distribution requirements. Attendance is mainly about mapping suppliers and reading where Chinese pharma manufacturing and packaging capacity is heading.
The floor is dominated by API and intermediate manufacturers, CDMO/CMO and contract-service providers, equipment and packaging vendors, and their sourcing and business-development staff. Visitors are procurement, QA/regulatory, R&D and supply-chain roles from pharma manufacturers and distributors, weighted heavily toward China and wider Asia. Cold chain and logistics providers appear as exhibitors and buyers rather than as a formally programmed community.
