Intermodal Asia 2027

Intermodal Asia is the annual container-shipping and intermodal logistics exhibition and conference held in Shanghai, run by Informa Markets (Sinoexpo Informa Markets) in partnership with the China Container Industry Association. The 2027 edition is roughly the twelfth (2025 was billed as the tenth), drawing on the order of 190 exhibitors spanning container manufacturing, leasing, freight forwarding, ports and terminals, rail freight, and reefer/cold chain equipment, with visitors from 60-plus countries. Reefer & Cold Chain Management is one of its named exhibitor categories.

This is where reefer container manufacturers and lessors, cold chain logistics providers, and telematics/tracking vendors show refrigerated container hardware, gensets, and monitoring technology, and where China-Asia reefer capacity and intermodal routing get discussed. For anyone sourcing refrigerated container equipment or moving perishable or pharma cargo across Asian sea-rail-road corridors, it is a primary China touchpoint. Cold chain here means containerised in-transit refrigeration rather than pharma GDP or warehousing programming.

Container lines and NVOCCs, reefer container manufacturers and lessors (e.g. CIMC), freight forwarders, port and terminal operators, rail freight operators, and equipment/telematics suppliers, weighted toward commercial, operations, and procurement leadership plus Chinese manufacturing-base representatives. Cold chain specialists are a minority within a predominantly dry-container and intermodal audience.
