IPPE is the combined annual trade show run jointly by USPOULTRY, AFIA and the Meat Institute, covering the full production and processing chain for poultry, eggs, meat and animal feed. Recent editions draw roughly 30,000 attendees and 1,300+ exhibitors across more than 600,000 sq ft, ranking it among the largest protein-processing expos in the world. Cold chain content sits inside a much wider agenda spanning live production, processing equipment, food safety, feed and packaging.
For cold chain professionals the relevance is at the processing-and-storage end: industrial refrigeration, blast freezing, cold-storage design, temperature monitoring and cold packaging for chilled and frozen protein are all represented on the floor and in the education program. It is where plant engineers and equipment specifiers evaluate refrigeration and freezing systems, and where food-safety and traceability requirements that shape downstream distribution are worked through. It is not a distribution-logistics event, but the point where the protein cold chain originates.
The room is dominated by processors and integrators - plant managers, engineering and operations staff, and food-safety and quality leads from poultry, meat, egg and pet-food companies. Feed manufacturers and equipment/technology vendors make up the exhibitor base. Cold chain attendance is a subset: refrigeration, cold-storage, packaging and monitoring suppliers plus the plant-side buyers who spec them.
