The ISPE Europe Annual Conference is the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering's principal regional gathering, run annually over three days. The 2027 edition covers pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), digital transformation and AI/ML, sustainability, EU regulatory change, and supply-chain operations. Content is organised into core tracks built around case studies from manufacturing, devices, equipment, and service providers.
Cold chain and GDP concerns surface through the supply-chain, ATMP, and biopharmaceutical content, where distribution risk, drug shortages, and the EU Critical Medicines Act are worked through. It is where European pharma engineering sets the facility and compliance direction that temperature-controlled distribution must later accommodate. Attending is a way to read regulatory shifts (Annex 1/11/15, the Pharmaceutical Package) before they reach day-to-day GDP practice.
The room is pharmaceutical and biopharma engineers, quality and compliance leads, manufacturing and operations managers, and supplier/vendor technical staff. Seniority skews toward practitioners and mid-to-senior management from manufacturers, CDMOs, and equipment/service firms. This is an engineering-and-quality audience rather than a logistics-buyer audience.
